How to create a WiFi QR code

Enter your network name (SSID) exactly as it appears on your devices, the password and the security type (most modern routers use WPA/WPA2). Tick "Hidden network" only if your network does not broadcast its name. Download the QR code and print it.

Where to put it

  • Café and restaurant tables or the counter
  • Hotel rooms, guest houses and holiday rentals
  • Office reception and meeting rooms
  • Clinic and salon waiting areas
  • Your home, for visiting friends and family

Security tips

  • Use a separate guest network if your router supports it, so visitors do not join your main network.
  • If you change your WiFi password, generate and print a new QR code — static codes cannot update themselves.
  • Your WiFi details are processed only in your browser and never sent to our server.

Running a business? Pair your WiFi code with a Google review QR code so happy guests can leave feedback too.

Frequently asked questions

Do iPhone and Android support WiFi QR codes?

Yes. Modern iPhone and Android cameras recognise WiFi QR codes and offer to join the network.

Which security type should I choose?

Choose WPA/WPA2 for most routers. Use WEP only for very old equipment and "No password" for open networks.

Is it safe to put my WiFi password in a QR code?

Anyone who scans the code can join, so place it only where you would share the password anyway — ideally for a guest network.

Will the QR code still work if I change my password?

No. Generate a new code after changing your WiFi password.

Is my password uploaded?

No. The QR code is created entirely in your browser.
