Tips for QR codes that scan every time
- Keep strong contrast: a dark code on a light background. The tool warns you when contrast is too low or colours are inverted.
- Leave a quiet zone (margin) around the code, especially when printing on coloured paper.
- Print it large enough — around 2–3 cm wide for business cards and much larger for posters viewed from a distance.
- When you add a logo, the generator automatically uses the highest error correction (H) so the code still scans. Keep logos small and simple.
- Test before printing with two or three different phones.
Static QR codes vs a digital business card
The codes made here are static: the information is stored inside the code, so you cannot change it after printing. If you want a QR code that always shows your latest phone number, links, catalogue and payment details, create a digital business card — every card comes with its own QR code that you can update anytime without reprinting. Frequently asked questions
Is this QR code generator really free?
Yes. You can create and download as many QR codes as you like for free, with no sign-up and no watermark on PNG or SVG files.
Do the QR codes expire?
No. These are static QR codes — the information is stored inside the code itself, so they keep working as long as the printed code is readable.
Can I add my logo to a QR code?
Yes. Upload a PNG, JPG, WEBP or SVG logo. It is placed in the centre and the code automatically switches to high error correction so it still scans.
Which format should I download for printing?
SVG is a vector format that stays sharp at any size and is ideal for designers and large prints. For quick printing, use the 2048 px PNG or the A4 PDF.
Can I change a QR code after printing it?
Not a static one. If you need to update details later, use a VCardPulse digital card — its QR code always opens your latest information.
Is my data uploaded anywhere?
No. Everything is generated in your browser; nothing you type or upload is sent to our server.
